Publicis Sapient Gurgaon Feedback: The Good and the Bad of PS

You may have heard of Publicis Sapient – a global American digital transformation company but not Publicis Groupe – a French multinational marketing and advertising company. They both are huge. After merger – now Publicis Sapient – it has become humongous. The reason I am pointing this out is because my Publicis Sapient Gurgaon feedback will be based on this. Read on.

Publicis Sapient Gurgaon is a global delivery center for several global brands. By branded names, you can tell how big the company would be. Not to mention, Publicis Groupe’s dominance in the advertising space. Digitas LBi, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty), MSL Group, Law & Kenneth – they are all part of the Publicis Groupe now. Thanks to its technology capabilities, Publicis Sapient is growing by leaps and bounds.

This global influence is visible in the Publicis Sapient Gurgaon work culture. So what’s best here for employees?

The best of PS

1. Cross-collaboration – Publicis Sapient brings together culture from the teams based in UK, Germany, Hong Kong and several other parts of the world to form a universal culture where everyone thrives. Talking to teams in different countries naturally improves your communication, makes you more professional and accountable.

2. Compensation – The pay is competitive. You can expect more than ‘industry standard’.

3. Work ethics – Nobody yells at you. People are professional, empathetic, and understanding. People respect you and your time.

4. Fun – Publicis Sapient leaves no stone unturned to make employees feel valued. There are frequent parties, get-togethers, celebrations and recognitions that keep you engaged and make work fun.

5. Best practices at work – You will be ahead of the curve. You will learn the best of approaches related to your work and develop the best of the skills. It’s coming straight from the brand leaders.

The bad of PS

1. Time management – Employees spending the amount of time on tasks is documented, which is necessary for billing clients. It is sometimes difficult to assign number of hours required to deliver a task. It is something that management needs to work on. From a business strategy perspective, I think it’s ideal for the organization, but a fixed amount of time doesn’t guarantee quality work.

2. Bench – Employees have enough time for work but sometimes they are idle too. Within team, it’s manageable (as one team member can support other in their task) and doesn’t impact salary no matter how idle you’re – a day, a week, or a month. From an org perspective, this should be looked upon.
